Services

Archery & bow services in Morgantown, WV

Your setup is our priority before, during and after the sale — and it does not matter whether you bought the bow here. Everything below is done in-house, on our own bench, with the range twenty feet away to check the work.

Archery Instruction

One-on-one coaching for first-time and returning archers.

Never drawn a bow before? Our staff teaches stance, grip, anchor and release from the ground up, indoors, at your own pace — no season, no weather and no crowd to worry about. Experienced shooters use the same sessions to fix a specific problem: a creeping anchor point, target panic, or a release that has quietly gone inconsistent. Instruction happens on our own 50-yard range, so you can put what you have just learned into a group before you leave.

Bow Setup

New bow set to your draw length, poundage and accessories.

A bow off the rack is not a bow that fits you. We set draw length and draw weight to your measurements, install and align the rest, sight, stabiliser, peep and D-loop, then walk the whole setup out to the range to confirm it shoots where you look. Bows bought here are set up as part of the sale; bows bought elsewhere are welcome too.

Paper Tuning

Reading arrow flight through paper to diagnose clearance issues.

Shooting through a paper frame shows exactly what the arrow is doing the instant it leaves the string. A clean bullet hole means the arrow is leaving straight; a tear tells us whether the nocking point, rest position, cam timing or arrow spine needs attention. It is the fastest way to turn "it just does not feel right" into a specific, fixable cause.

Chronograph Testing

Measured arrow speed for accurate sight tapes and pin gaps.

We chronograph your actual arrow, out of your actual bow, to get a real feed-per-second number rather than the figure printed on the box. That measured speed is what makes a sight tape correct, what sets your pin gaps honestly, and what tells you whether a change in arrow weight or poundage did what you hoped it would.

Bow Tuning

Cam timing, centre shot and rest tuning for consistent groups.

Full tuning goes past the initial setup: cam timing and synchronisation, centre shot, tiller, nock height and rest micro-adjustment, checked against paper and against groups downrange. This is the service that turns a bow that is merely sighted in into one that holds the same point of impact broadhead-to-field-point when hunting season arrives.

Custom Arrow Fletching

Arrows cut, squared, inserted and fletched to your spec.

We build arrows to your draw length and setup rather than selling you the nearest stock length: shafts cut and squared, inserts installed and cured, then fletched with the vane, helical and colour pattern you want. We also re-fletch, strip and rebuild damaged arrows, so one bad shot does not cost you a whole dozen.

String & Cable Replacement

Fresh strings and cables installed, served and re-tuned.

Strings and cables stretch, fray and eventually fail, usually at the worst possible moment. We install new strings and cables, re-serve, set the peep and D-loop back where they belong, and re-tune the bow afterward so it shoots the same as it did before — because a string change without a re-tune is only half the job.

Firearm (FFL) Transfers

Licensed FFL receiving for firearms bought online or out of state.

Bought a firearm online or from a private seller in another state? It has to ship to a licensed dealer, and we are one. We receive the shipment, log it, run the federal background check and hand it over once everything clears — the straightforward local end of an out-of-state purchase.

Live Bait & Licenses

Live bait, tackle basics and West Virginia hunting and fishing licenses.

We keep live bait on hand and sell West Virginia hunting and fishing licenses over the counter, which makes an early start a good deal simpler — bait, license and whatever you forgot, in one stop on the way out of town. Call ahead if you need a particular bait so we can tell you what's in.

Turnaround, pricing and drop-off

Most bench work is quoted when we see the bow, because “it needs a tune” can mean twenty minutes or an afternoon. Simple jobs are often done while you wait; anything involving a press, new strings or a full retune is usually best left with us. Call before you drive out if you need it back by a particular day — especially in the weeks either side of opening day, when the bench is at its busiest.
